Web Design

It’s a strange term, web design. It implies making a site look pretty, with blatant disregard for making it actually work. In truth the process of building a website merely starts with design. The actual process will naturally evolve into backend coding and optimisation. Whatever the site, however big it is, these steps are a natural part of the design process.

Getting the right mix of design and coding is fundamental to making your site work well. Too much design and the page will look cluttered and take too long to load. Too little and your branding is lost, and its visual appeal is destroyed. Our graphic designers use the latest software and industry experience to create fabulous looking sites that will integrate seamlessly with our back end code, giving the perfect balance between aesthetics and technicality.

We do everything in-house, which means that the whole build process is seamless. Using our own designers and coders means that we can create an initial identity… and stick to it. Too often Web design companies will create a beautiful design that sadly is impossible to recreate in the build process. The end result is often so compromised that the initial design has to be scrapped and started over.

Rapid Web’s development team use the latest web languages, such as PHP, .NET, CSS and ASP. With integration into SQL, MySQL and SQL server, we can create backend databases that run smoothly, efficiently and, just as importantly, reliably.

Rapid Web also employs its own Content Management System which can be plugged into any design. This means that you don’t need to keep coming back to us if you need to change the text, or add a page to your site.

So, how do we go about creating
your site?

It all starts with the brainstorm. We need to get the message right. The rest will come naturally. Rapid Web get involved right from the word go, scoping out a project to make sure we’re all singing off the same hymn sheet. After the initial approach has been agreed our team of designers will set to work creating the visual look of the site. Again, you can be confident that what you’re looking at is what the finished site will look like. We don’t use templates. All our sites are created bespoke for our clients. You need to be unique in your marketplace. We like to be unique too.

But don’t take our word for it. Take a look at some recent examples of our work.
