You’ll notice that most people will shed a cursory glance over the price of an item, check to make sure that the packet does in actual fact contain what it advertises, and then promptly throw it into the basket and move to the next item on the own-brand conveyor belt…
It’s probably fair to say that most of us prefer fresh, local food, but don’t want the hassle of actually finding it. Our Produce was set up to make it easier for us all to enjoy fresh, local produce at affordable prices. Because fresh food just tastes better.
Rapid Web were commissioned to create a brand and eCommerce solution that needed to be much more than simply another online supermarket. It needed to bring local communities together, help reduce waste, and food miles.
We came up with the idea of the actual produce being the brand, rather than the logo. By placing “Our Produce” on a strawberry, for example, the strawberry becomes part of the Our Produce brand. It means we can change the branding to coincide with seasonal produce, and keep the branding as fresh as the product itself.
Our Produce is based on localised hubs that deliver to central locations within the village, or town. Hub agents need to manage their own areas, and so we needed to create a system that was totally versatile and scalable. That’s why we created a powerful administration suite that allows agents to add and remove products with simple mouse-clicks, manage orders and even process their supplier invoices.
The visitor will see everything they’ve come to expect from shopping sites. Simple, easy to navigate controls, saved orders, special offers, and even local blogs to get the community really working together.
