We don't do ordinary...

Perhaps that should read “We aren’t ordinary”. Maybe that’s something to do with the way we look, but we prefer to think that it’s the way we work.

Rapid Web was set up in 1999 by its founding members, David Parr and Ashley Peake. Its soul aim, to build cheap, fast websites for companies who needed a web presence quickly.

This was back in the days when HTML was the best way to build a site, and FrontPage was the best way to code it. Rapid thought differently, and so set about learning the burgeoning ASP and PHP languages.

It soon became apparent that a site didn't need to be static. It could look fantastic and still work well with search engines. It could use databases, administration tools and could tie into shopping carts.

Rapid Web quickly embraced this new way of building sites and began coding our own content management systems, which gave clients a way to keep their sites up to date, consistent and powerful.

We’re still learning. We think that’s why we’re addicted. The web never stops evolving; It’s one big learning curve. We can’t stop now.
