With one of the biggest features of smart phones being their near anywhere web browsing, the mobile website market is every increasing. Going to a website on a phone which has not be optimised for mobile devices can be a huge pain to navigate well and could easily turn off your visitor (and potential customers), while an optimised website can make the experience a pleasant and swift experience.

1. DVD Players

Hhmmm the humble DVD player, the trusty dust gathering box that has sat under your TV for years, I fail to believe that in around a year these will no longer be a part of our lives. I’m not ready to chop in my 300+ collection for a mere handful of Blu-Rays.

2. The Fax Machine

Interesting one, I think theses MUST be being phased out now, Email is surely the preferred media for sending messages business to business. Although I don’t think they will disappear completely in just over a year.

3. Aanlogue TV

Not actually being switched of totally until 2012 so I think there will still be people watching grainy, low quality picture for the next couple of years.

4. The Landline Phone

Really? I mean the home phone? I doubt it, have you seen how much a lot of 08 numbers cost from a mobile? Smart or otherwise its pricey.

5. The Mobile Phone Charger

Strange one this, perhaps my previous article on the Powermat may shed some light on my views.

6. The Wii Remote

This is, in my opinion, probably the silliest one Wii sales still top the 8 million mark – almost twice the sales of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 put together. The recent release of the Wii motion plus will ensure a good future for Nintendo’s gem of a console.

7. Sat-Nav Devices

Tricky one this, mobile phones are starting to do more and more – including Sat-Nav capabilities, so I guess an in car kit maybe much cheaper than a whole separate system.

8. 3G Dongles

How much does it cost to put a sim card in a laptop? Exactly…

9. Computer Mouse

Sure, and replace it with what? There’s some good touch screen tech out there right now but I can’t see everyone using that tech for a long time yet.

10. Chip And Pin Credit Cards

Lot of things floating around at the min about what will replace chip n’ pin, fingerprint technology being at the forefront.

Looks like some good calls and some not so good calls in my opinion, but what do I know, I’m not Europe’s largest electronics retailer
