8 Ball are one of the UK’s largest t-shirt distributors. We started working with them in 2002 when they commissioned their first online project. With an already strong mailing list 8 Ball wanted to widen their customer base and strengthen their market exposure. They wanted a site that would look the part, but also a site that would top the search engine ranks. They needed something that was accessible by anyone, something that was easy to navigate, something that could be updated in-house.

Rapid Web were commissioned to consult and build their ecommerce site, paying particular attention to usability, navigation, stock control and search engine optimisation.

With over 3000 products in their catalogue, keeping tabs on what’s going on behind the scenes has proved pretty complicated. That’s why Rapid Web have developed a fully integrated online management suite. From keeping the catalogue updated, through ordering from suppliers and supply chain management, all the way through to enquiry handling, dispatch and invoicing. 8 Ball’s administration suite has given them the facility to do away with all the filing cabinets and concentrate on keeping their site one of the most powerful, most visited t-shirt sites in the UK. Rapid Web’s tailored search engine optimisation solutions have helped boost the 8Ball site to the top of the search engine rankings, and our bespoke electronic emailers go out to a mailing list currently standing at over 20,000.

In fact 8 Ball’s success has grown so hugely that they now have a regular Podcast and so much traffic that we’ve just upgraded their server… again.
